Mark Kamie

Mark is a theatre director and teacher based out of the DC area. Since moving to the DC area, he has worked with The Source Festival, Molotov Theatre Group, and Adventure Theatre MTC.  He was nominated for Best Director of a Professional Production by Broadway World DC.

Mark earned an MFA in Directing from Indiana University. While in graduate school, he directed/worked with Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Jewish Theatre of Bloomington and Bloomington Playwrights Project. Prior to graduate school, he acted and directed in Chicago for nine years.

Mark has taught theatre courses, stand-up comedy and public speaking at Montgomery College, Carrol Community College and Community College of Baltimore County.

As an assistant editor, he helped put together Scenes and Monologues from Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award Finalists, 2008-2012, .
